Here we are again in total LockDown, and we are forever indebted to our NHS staff and Frontline workers who have put their country and job before themselves.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we wanted to try our best to support in some way and have offered all NHS and Frontline workers advice and 20% Discount off our Secret Weapon Serums. If you send your Blue Light Card or ID to customercare@katemciverskin.co.uk or DM our Socials and we will send you the code.
There are so many reviews from Nurses, and frontline workers here are just a small sample of them -
Many nurses have asked for Tips to keep their skin healthy whilst wearing PPE, so many have never had skin issues before COVID.
They have been experiencing abnormally irritated skin, increased breakouts, dryness, and peeling are common skin issues that have been occurring. Those who have struggled with Acne, Rosacea, and other skin conditions previously, the PPE has exacerbated their problems.
Our advice is to keep to a gentle skincare routine while wearing PPE and Protective Masks, try to use fragrance skincare, avoid using makeup and harsh ingredients, and exfoliating scrubs.
We recommend that you prep your skin with a Serum to create a barrier to protect and moisturise whilst wearing PPE.
Whilst working a great tip is to cool your skin down when you get the chance by removing your mask when permitted and splashing your face with cool (not very cold) water to reduce the salt excretion from sweating under your mask as it creates a humid environment. Lightly dab your skin dry. Especially carry this out if you have Maskne.
As soon as you arrive home, Double Cleanse your skin and apply your Serum. If you are suffering from dehydrated skin considering using Hyaluronic Kakadu Serum's layer on damp skin to absorb the moisture and repair your skin. If your skin is experiencing severe itching and the break out is becoming very angry, we suggest you consult your pharmacist as you can get over the counter creams. If the pharmacist thinks necessary, you may need to visit the doctor.
