Due to Kate's devastating passing, we decided to hold a candlelight vigil to show our respect and love for Kate.
We would like to thank every single individual who lit a candle all over the world in remembrance of our beautiful angel Kate and for every other individual taken too soon by cancer.
The heartbreaking reality was that Kate's new candle had arrived Friday and she passed Saturday..
It was so overwhelming to realise how many people have been touched by Kate's story, her message has literally reached the other end of the world, people were lighting candles in: Japan, USA, Australia and New Zealand to name but a few countries.
Her family were so touched, and the Instagram message below shows how moved they were by all of the online support for Kate.
Kate's family wrote "On behalf of the McIver family that I am so privileged to be part of, an important but brief thanks to all of you for lighting your candles this evening and for your ongoing support at an unbelievably difficult time during which words are difficult to find. Tonight, and every minute of every day, we remember Kate, our beautiful soul who filled our lives with so much laughter, so many happy memories and gave us our treasure, Lucia, and we miss her every single day."
Kate McIver's Secret Weapon Serum has changed the confidence of so many people who have struggled with their skin, all of the people joined in with heartfelt messages, sharing how she had impacted their lives with her serums and have felt very much part of her challenging, honest journey.
Celebrities who love the Secret Weapon have become so fond of Kate too that many joined in lighting their candle and sharing to their followers enabling Kate's brave story to reach to millions of people. Models, Soap Stars, Top MUA's, Instagram Influencers, Reality Stars, Bloggers, Retailers, Radio Show hosts all made the remembrance burn bight and show how social media can be used for the good raising global awareness of a young lady who had everything to live for yet was robbed by the evil disease cancer..
Lisa Snowdon, Cara Kilby, ScouseMA Jessica Hayes, Gaby Roslin, Doll Beauty, Kenneth Soh MUA, Natasha Hamilton, Chloe Lewis, Steph Waring, Ross Adams to name a few..
Emotions were stirred, people took stock of what really is important, a lot of people took time to check their breasts for lumps and the majority thought about their own family and their loved ones they have lost to cancer.
Kate's legacy will live on, her skin care brand is going from strength to strength and her contribution to cancer awareness will continue to be at the heart of everything we do.
