A few weeks ago, we went with Make 2nds Count the Charity to Future Dreams House. This is the only specialised Breast Cancer Support Centre in the UK.
Make 2nds Count Tea & Chat launched at Future Dreams House
Future Dreams funds research into breast cancer, provides practical and emotional support for those touched by the disease and saves lives by early detection through their campaign 'Change and Check' which some of you may learnt of from the 'Lorraine Show'.
It was started in 2008 by mother and daughter Sylvie Henry and Danielle Leslie. By a cruel twist of fate, they were both diagnosed with breast cancer, Danielle just 35 and a mother of 3 young children. Tragically both women lost their lives to the disease within a year in 2009.
Since 2008 they have continued their legacy to raise over £6.5m for support, awareness, and research.
